Jordan's Prime Minister reiterates his country's supportive stance for Palestine

Jordanian Prime Minister Dr. Bishr Al-Khasawneh reiterated his country's position under the leadership of King Abdullah II in support of the Palestinian brothers and the establishment of an independent, sovereign Palestinian state on the June 4, 1967 lines, with East Jerusalem as its capital, in a manner that contributes to strengthening regional security and stability.


During his meeting today, Wednesday, with Palestinian Minister of Agriculture Riyad Al-Atari, Al-Khasawneh stressed the depth of the distinguished bilateral relations between the two countries and their keenness to enhance joint cooperation in all fields.


In a statement reported by the Jordan News Agency, he noted the importance of the recently launched Jordanian-Palestinian Agricultural Products Marketing Company and its role in promoting the agricultural sector, supporting and enhancing the competitiveness of Jordanian and Palestinian farms, cooperating in marketing agricultural products and investing in joint agricultural projects, pointing to the importance of holding the meetings of the Higher Committee. The Jordanian-Palestinian joint in the coming period in Ramallah, and its role in promoting joint cooperation between the two countries.


For his part, the Palestinian Minister of Agriculture expressed the Palestinian leadership, government and people's appreciation for Jordan's firm stances in support of the Palestinian people and their legitimate rights, praising the Hashemite guardianship of Jerusalem and the Islamic and Christian holy sites in it.

He stressed the importance of strengthening the work of the joint committees between the two ministries of agriculture to increase the flow of agricultural commodities and products, and to develop and frame the agricultural sector in the two brotherly countries.
