A slight decrease in oil prices, Brent recorded $ 72.65, and US crude was $ 69.25

Today, oil prices recorded $72.65 a barrel for the global benchmark Brent crude futures contract, and US West Texas Intermediate crude futures recorded $69.25 a barrel.


According to international media reports, oil prices in global markets fell slightly today, Friday, after rising yesterday, Thursday, and after China announced plans to sell crude oil from strategic reserves.


The prices of the international benchmark Brent crude contracts recorded slight weekly losses at the conclusion of the trading sessions in the futures markets last Friday, by 0.1% compared to the end of the previous week, while the prices of the US West Texas Intermediate crude contracts recorded weekly gains of 0.8% compared to the end of last week.


The OPEC Plus alliance agreed to add 400,000 barrels per day per month to the oil markets.
