The Algerian president assigns one of his advisors to chair a committee to assess and compensate those affected by forest fires


 The Algerian President, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, assigned the advisor on foreign relations, Abdelhafid Alahem, to head the National Committee for the Assessment and Compensation of those affected by the forest fires that some countries witnessed recently.


The Algerian presidency stated - in a statement, today - that this came during Tebboune's presidency, today, of the National Committee for the Assessment and Compensation of those affected by the forest fires in some countries recently, according to the Algerian News Agency.


The statement indicated that President Tebboune issued strict instructions to the members of the committee; To work in an organized manner with all sectors and state committees headed by the governors to immediately start compensating the affected in their properties.


The mission of the committee, according to the statement, is to receive the files of the state committees in charge of assessing losses, where President Tebboune directed the members of the committee to work with full transparency and equality with all those affected and to involve the heads of the village committees in determining the lists of those affected who will find total support from the state.


The Algerian President also decided to grant a financial allowance of one million Algerian dinars to the families of the martyrs, both civilians and military, and granted to the martyr’s parents if he was single and to his wife if he was married.
