Sudan: A policeman dies of injuries sustained during the June 30 protests

The Central Chamber in the Office of the Public Prosecutor in charge of Sudan, Mubarak Mahmoud, announced that 52 policemen were injured during the demonstrations last June 30, and one of them, with the rank of sergeant, died of his injuries.

The Central Chamber of the Sudanese Attorney General's Office stated, in a statement, today, Friday, that none of the demonstrators was harmed, which clearly demonstrates that the police forces dealt with high professionalism in the performance of their duty to protect citizens.

Meanwhile, the Transitional Council of Ministers in Sudan and the Sudanese Interior Minister, Lieutenant-General Ezzedine Sheikh Mansour, mourned the police sergeant who died as a result of his injuries in the demonstrations.
