Ronaldo informs Juventus of his desire to stay .. and returns to training July 25 25

Italian press reports revealed that Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo decided to stay with Juventus next season, while his agent Jorge Mendes is seeking to extend his contract for one year.

Ronaldo's contract at the Allianz Stadium expires in June 2022 and his future in Turin appears to be in doubt after the end of the 2020-21 season.

Recently Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester United were reportedly interested in signing him, although they made it clear that they could not fit in with his current fee of €31m per season.

Neither Juventus nor Ronaldo have received any official offers yet, so it appears that the 36-year-old is destined to remain at the Bianconeri, at least until the end of the season.

According to the Italian newspaper, La Gazzetta dello Sport, the former Real Madrid star told his club that he will return to training on July 25 to start the preparatory season.

Ronaldo is currently on vacation after Euro 2020, while Massimiliano Allegri began his second assignment as Juventus coach two days ago.

The Italian newspaper reports that Ronaldo's agent Jorge Mendes is pushing for a one-year contract extension, but Juventus have not yet discussed the matter, and the two parties may enter into talks about extending Cristiano Ronaldo's contract when Juventus president Andrea Agnelli returns from vacation.
