Putin: Russian-Chinese relations have become a model for cooperation between countries

Russian President Vladimir Putin described the relations between Russia and China as exemplary in the field of cooperation between countries.

During a meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping, via video conferencing, Putin referred to the importance of the Treaty of Friendship between Moscow and Beijing, explaining that the two countries' commitment to the provisions of this treaty in letter and spirit enabled them to "reach Russian-Chinese relations to an unprecedented level, which made it a role model. in partnership between nations in the twenty-first century.

According to the Russia Today website, Putin said that the two countries succeeded in creating a multi-level mechanism for coordination between the two countries, noting that this mechanism, which is unparalleled in the world, includes regular contacts between the leaders of the two countries and meetings between the Russian and Chinese prime ministers, and five government committees at the level of The two deputy prime ministers, and formulating the dialogue between the parliaments of the two countries and their regional groupings.

The Russian president added that this mechanism allows the two sides to effectively address all problems and draw up plans for joint action.

Putin stated that the trade exchange between Russia and China has increased 14 times since 2001, and is still growing despite the global financial crises and the problems caused by the Corona virus pandemic.

The Russian president stressed that the growth of trade exchange between the two countries exceeded 22% during the first four months of this year, and that there are expectations of setting new records in this field before the end of the year.
