The Kuwaiti Minister of Health stresses the importance of the Arab Health Ministers' meeting to enhance the capabilities of health systems

 The Kuwaiti Minister of Health, Sheikh Dr. Basil Al-Hamoud Al-Sabah, stressed the importance of the ministerial meeting of Arab health ministers for coordination and exchange of experiences between ministries of health in the Arab countries in order to enhance the capabilities of the health systems in them to address various challenges and support development plans and programs related to health.

The Kuwait News Agency stated that this came during the Kuwaiti Minister of Health's participation in the virtual meeting of the Council of Arab Health Ministers of its 55th session, which was held on Sunday through video communication technology.

The Kuwaiti minister said that the Arab health ministers discussed during their meeting many issues, the most prominent of which was the draft Arab strategy, measures to address the emerging corona pandemic, the mechanism for obtaining vaccines, and ensuring their fair distribution to Arab countries.

He added that the meeting discussed a report on the health conditions in the occupied Palestinian territories, including East Jerusalem and the occupied Syrian Golan, as well as the Arab Council for Medical Specializations and the unified speech that will be delivered in the name of the Arab Health Ministers at the meetings of the 74th session of the Friday General Health, which is scheduled to be held (remotely) during The period from May 24 until next June 1.

He pointed out that the Council of Arab Health Ministers discussed during the meeting the formation of the executive office of the Council of Arab Health Ministers for the years 2021-2022.
