Gymnastics ends preparations to host the African Championships


The Gymnastics Federation headed by Dr. Ihab Amin puts the final touches before Egypt hosts the African qualifying tournaments for the Tokyo Olympics 2020 from May 24 to 27, and the tournaments will be held as follows

 

The African Championship for Technical Gymnastics for Men in Nasr City Club, the African Championship for Technical Gymnastics for Men in Nasr City Club, and the African Championship for Trampoline Gymnastics Men and Women in Cairo Stadium Hall Complex Hall 4.

 

The Egyptian team for trampoline gymnastics will compete for one seat for men and one for women to qualify for the Tokyo Olympics 2020, while the Egyptian team for technical gymnastics will compete for a seat for the male technician and the other for the technical women to participate in the Tokyo Olympics 2020.

 

For his part, Ihab Amin, President of the Egyptian Gymnastics Federation and Vice President of the African Federation, affirmed Egypt's ability to organize while taking all precautionary measures to ensure the safety of the players and delegations participating in the qualifiers, with the availability of all the elements for the success of the qualifiers on the land of Egypt, including sports facilities and infrastructure at the highest level, after the efforts made. From the political leadership represented by the Ministry of Youth and Sports headed by Dr. Ashraf Sobhi in placing Egypt on the map for receiving continental and international tournaments recently.

 

The President of the Gymnastics Federation added that the African qualifying tournaments for the Tokyo Olympics 2020 will be a final dress rehearsal before Egypt hosts the World Cup for Artistic Gymnastics early next June, which will be held for the first time in the history of the tournament in the African continent.
